What is your monster? What is the one thing in your world that repeatedly causes you to be afraid and to stop your life from moving forward? There is your monster! It hides in your subconscious waiting to cause you fear. Some people have many monsters that scare them, and some have just one. But they are there waiting to stop you in your tracks. Some of our monsters were created by others, some are forged in a failed past experience, and some are imagined by our own self-preservation. But for whatever reason it is there and when we come against it, we run away. The fear is too strong to move forward. The monster is the ultimate roadblock to our abundance. The monster takes many forms, worry, fear of failure, lack of love, self-doubt, money and even abundance itself. Yes, even too much of a good thing scares people. They sit a wait for the crash when life is going great. There are even more not listed but, for whatever reason we choose to fear. That’s right, we create the monster. We convince ourselves that we need this monster to protect us. It stands there to scare us to run away and then we are safe. We do this because it is better to run than to face the monster. We worry to prepare ourselves for something terrible to happen. The monster of worry said stay away you are setting yourself up for a fall. But is it inevitable that something terrible is to happen? We stop ourselves with worry before we even know what will happen. The monster of worry is in the future, and we are in the present moment. How do we know the outcome? The monster knows what we do not? In every circumstance of the monster weather it is worry, lack of love or whatever it is, is based in the unknown. Our predetermined negative outcome takes the form of the monster. It says to us stop! The monster knows better. Does it? This created beast says “runaway”, and we do so many times that we cannot move our lives forward to our abundance. How do we defeat the monster so, we can move forward? We need to find where the monster lives, we must look at the monster in the face, we need to understand that we are braver than we think we are and then we can defeat the monster with trust. We make our monster bigger than what it is because we choose to run away when it is near. Stop your monster from controlling your life and live free of the fear that it causes you by getting to know it better. If you can do this your abundance will be closer because the path forward will not be blocked by the monster.
Where does your monster live? When is there times in your life where you get scared? Not from danger but, from confrontation with your monster. Does it live in fear of telling someone the truth, is it hanging on to a bad relationship because you feel like you will not find love again, or is it failing at something you love to do. In whatever it is, it is in the fear of the unknown event that may occur. The monster lives in the fear of confrontation, the fear of lost love, and the fear of failure in the scenarios above. If we can go into the source of the monster’s power, we can face it more directly. The power the monster has is the lack of confidence or self-worth. These caves where the monster lives can be illuminated by the light of reality. If we can speak our truth, love ourselves, and know we are worthy we can shine a light on the monster’s power over us. Then we can see its face and know we have the confidence and self-worth to conquer it.
Instead of running when the monster appears, if we can look at it in the face, we will see it is smaller than what we imagined. We spend a lot of our time inflating the size of the monster that stands in our way. When we see it for what it is we can see it is not as big as we thought it was. What if the person gets upset with how you feel? They are your emotions, and you have the right to express them. What if you leave the relationship and you are alone? If you love yourself isn’t that enough love until you find your new person? What if you start to do what you love? Isn’t it worth the feeling to at least try to live your passion? The monster of the unknown becomes a little less daunting. It is illuminated for what it is worth. The internal needs are not fed by the external. You can move passed the monster when you look at it in the face of reality and your internal worth. The lack of fear of the unknown gives us the power over the monster. We are braver to know it has no power over us by facing it head up.
We convince ourselves we are not brave enough to take on the monster that holds us back but, we have the strength through our own self-worth. The monster likes to make sure you know you are weak and uncapable of the struggle in front of you. So, it inflates what the struggle truly is to keep us held back. The truth is that you are the warrior through your self-worth, and you have plenty of it. If you are able to tap into this power your monster will run away from you. Knowing you are worthy of the truth; the love and the abundance will have the monster of afraid of you. When the monster appears to make you run away, look inward and know that you are worthy. This bravery of worth is self-generated and unlimited. You can defeat anything in your path when you know you are capable. The monster uses fear of the unknown as control over you. If the unknown is where your abundance is, then your worth will push you through the monster’s control over you. Trusting your power is how the monster will be defeated.
You need to trust that you have the tools to defeat the monster. Trust you are worthy, trust you have confidence, trust you are brave and trust the unknown is wonderful. Trust is the sword to defeat the monster. If you can trust in yourself the monster will be defeated. The monster gets it power from fear of the unknown and trusting you will be taken care of will kill the monster. If you trust that no matter where you are in the moment that you will be taken care of, there is no room for fear. In the many moments during the pandemic when I struggled, I continued to have faith that I was being guided. I trusted that I was going to be taken care of. I looked back to see that too many times in my life when I felt like I was at my end, something happened to push me forward and I was taken care of. The monster tried to hold me back but, I trusted myself and my journey. Far too many times people give up and do not trust their power and the monster wins. Trust that you have the strength to defeat your monster and you are worthy of your abundance. Everyone has monsters. The richest people to the poorest. It is how we deal with our monsters that make the difference in our paths. Do we run away or face them? If you can see where they live by looking into what you lack internally, look at the monster in the face and see it is smaller than what we imagined, know you are brave through your self-worth, and trust the wonderful unknown, you will see the monster go away. We create the monster to protect us from the unknown but, we do not need the protection if we are ok with what happens. We do this by knowing we are worthy of all the abundance that will come. The monster cannot control us by fear if there is nothing to fear.
