Frankenstein is a creature created by a mad doctor using different parts from other people he found. This monster was created to see if life could be reanimated. When the beast was awakened it was frightened and lashed out at its creators. So, you are probably saying what does this have to do with me? Can you look deep into who you are and see how you were created? You probably took what people told you, what you saw that you wanted from others and lessons of pain to create who you are. You were created in those by all the observing, listening and failures. You took parts of the stories and you made yourself you. You dress, act, have biases, opinions, and live based on these parts from others. These stories told by others became you. Now that you are older you are fighting who you are to who you want to be. The parts you have taken on are conflicting with the person you want to be. You took on the pieces of you because you needed a guide to your journey through your life. Now that you are older you do not need that guide anymore. You have learned the lessons and it is time to challenge the parts you have taken on. As the creature was never understood so, have you become lost not knowing how to live the life you want. Understanding yourself and the parts is where transformation begins. The transformation of who you want to be. You can reanimate your life by creating your own parts. Seeing what serves you now and what you can let go. Building your own human part by part. It seems hard but, it is really quite easy. You can rebuild you by taking the present to examine what you have taken from others, let go of the parts that do not serve you, and create who you want to become. It is then you can recreate the person you want to be, not the person built from others parts. You become the creature and embrace the new you. Living a life not bound by the fear from others. The life you are supposed live, where you understand yourself and embrace your creator (which is you). Afterall, don’t you know you better than an outside force. Other mad doctors (influencers) will only create the creature in their image because that’s all they know. The intention of the mad doctor was to help reanimate a life they understood. It was for good but, turned out bad. That’s what happened to you. The intention of the influencer was to protect you but, it turned out not needed. It is time to continue the good intention and create a you, you want.
What parts of you do not belong to you? What are the things you do or say that just does not fit who you want to be? When you have a moment that you say, “Why did I do that? Or Why did I say that?”. That is the part you have taken on from others. You might be a certain way because that is what you have done but, it just doesn’t fit right with you. You might judge a person because they look a certain way, or you might eat a certain way because that is what your parents ate. These are just examples of the parts we have put on in our past from our influencers. The list goes on and on from the way we dress to the way we see the world around us. It was all attached to us in the past. In the present is where we can see if the part we attached is still needed. When we reach that moment of, “that does not feel right.” We have made the connection that the part needs to be examined and recreated to something that serves us. We can take the feeling of judgement of someone as embracing their differences. We do not have to eat the unhealthy food because there are other delicious healthier foods to try. The biases that have become a part of us can be reanimated to something that serves us better. Take the time in the present moment to be aware of what serves you and what does not. Waving a torch at the parts will frighten the pieces of yourself that you do not need. It will then give you the power to let them go.
Letting go of the parts that you have been given is hard but, when they hold you down from creating you, they have outlived their shelve life. When you have come to recognize the parts of you that don’t belong, it is time to let them go. They have been attached to you for some time and letting them go will take surgery. The surgery of creating the piece of you, you want first. Like, I want to live a healthier life, not the habits I was given. Build a plan with specific achievable goals. Then slowly start the reconstruction. Letting a little piece go and replacing it with a healthier one. If you try to rip the part off you and replace it, your body will just reject it. Make the surgery slow, methodical and painless. Evidentially you will have a fully functional new part that you created. You can apply this to anything you want to change. Maybe it is a perception or a bias that needs to be removed. If you catch yourself having a bias about something, slowly change the story, from one of negative to positive. Piece by piece you will create a you, you want. Take the time to let them go slowly and the embrace the new you for who you want to be. Celebrate the new pieces and the habits of the past will turn into the wonderful behaviors for the future.
Who do you want to become? It does not have to be a mirror image of another person. Everyone is different so, there is no way to replicate who they are through you. So, what is it that you like from this person? Maybe it is the way the other person looks at life. Instead of stealing a part from them, try to reanimate that piece and create a part that serves you. Look at your life in your lens, not the lens of the other person. Like the example above, you see others with healthier lives. The people you observe are vegans and run every day. Make the new part work for you. Maybe it looks more like portion control and walking your dog more. That will get you to your healthier life you want, and you created it your way. Not all solutions to reanimations are similar. They are all different and need to fit the person you are. You create you, piece by piece, and you become the life you will lead toward your abundant life.
When Dr Frankenstein created the creature, it was said he was playing God but when God created people it was in their image. Whether you believe in God or not it is about creating the best you, you can. In essence you are God, creating you in each moment. It is taking responsibility of your creation (You) and reanimating a better you. The creature that was created in the past, can be rebuilt to be the creature you want it to be. Recognize what parts do not serve you, let them go slowly and methodically and then add the part your life is calling towards. Your abundant life is built on creating a you that you want to be. It is not a frightening new world when you open your eyes for the first time as this new creation. It is a life you have dream of. Your reanimation starts when you want that new life. Create your own parts that serve you and become the person you want. The world is waiting to see you and will embrace this wonderful new creature.
